Is it dangerous to leave the car with air conditioning, while the car is off?
My mother said if you leave your car air conditioning you turn the car, it is switched on automatically when the car where it hurts the engine. Is it true or is full of BS? Sounds like complete BS me.
No, it is not dangerous. When you turn the key to "Start" all circuits are connected through the switch ignition is switched off, except those used to start the car. When you start the engine and release the button, from the initial position, then all circuits are connected again. I know that many people, most who know the owner of the dealership, who insist that the CA must be cut before starting the car. I did not disconnect and never had a little trouble with the engine or the AC in any of my cars.
